Senior Cost Accountant

Hiring for Senior Accountant for Manufacuring company

Location- Bhiwandi, Kalyan

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a
particular focus on ERP systems, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory management, cost
centre wise accounting, and overall cost accounting.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:
    o Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    o Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    o Assist in the preparation of budgets and 8.
  2. Cost Accounting:
    o Analyze and report on COGS, identifying trends and variances.7
    o Develop and maintain standard costing models.
    o Conduct regular cost analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions.
  3. Inventory Management:
    o Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory
    transactions.
    o Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
    o Implement and monitor effective inventory control procedures.
  4. ERP Systems:
    o Utilize ERP systems to manage financial processes and ensure data integrity.
    o Lead ERP system enhancements and optimizations.
    o Train and support staff in the use of ERP systems.
  5. Cost Centre Accounting:
    o Maintain cost centre wise accounting records and ensure accurate allocation of
    costs.
    o Generate cost centre reports to track and manage expenses by department or
    project.
    o Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate budgeting and cost
    control.
  6. General Accounting:
    o Manage general ledger functions, including journal entries and account
    reconciliations.
    o Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.

o Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.

  1. Compliance and Audit:
    o Support internal and external audit activities.
    o Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
    o Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  2. Team Leadership:
    o Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
    o Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Cost & Management
    Accountant or Chartered Accountant, certification is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting
    and inventory management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
