Required Nature of Experience: 12+ years, with previous major experience in the manufacturing industry
Job Description:
Lead a procurement team of 5-6 members ; strategize the procurement, purchase, and supply chain management activities, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and timely delivery.
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the company’s business goals and objectives.
Oversee the procurement of industrial products, including but not limited to valves, pipe fittings, electric panels, and capital machinery.
Utilize expertise to identify and engage with key suppliers, ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, focusing on favourable terms, pricing, and long-term partnerships.
Must have good knowledge of local & international procurement with excellent knowledge on various Terms of contract
Ensure the procurement team is proficient in using ERP systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Experience in an ERP background will be advantage.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ISO procedures, GST regulations, E-way bills, and transport logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively manage supplier relationships and internal stakeholder expectations.
Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular evaluations, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain that could impact business operations.
Drive results-oriented initiatives, ensuring that procurement activities contribute to the company’s success and competitive advantage.
